Starting monthly paid subscriptions: Flowmingo49 dollars, Hyring95 dollars, Spark Hire from299 dollars and Ribbon599 dollars; included usage and features differ

Flowmingo's AI interviews are free on every plan, and of the 4 AI interview platforms we compared, it has the lowest published starting price for a paid monthly plan. Starter is $49 per month, compared with Hyring Pro at $95, Spark Hire Video from $299, and Ribbon Growth at $599.

The starting price is only part of the decision. What happens after the free allowance? How many recordings can your team keep? Which charges sit on top of the subscription?

We checked the published plans to answer those questions. Here is the price comparison, followed by a breakdown of Flowmingo's Free, Starter, Growth and Scale plans and the complete bill at different volumes.

The pricing result

The table compares the lowest paid subscription billed monthly, in USD. It ranks the base fee; interview allowances and optional purchases are shown alongside it.

Platform and monthly starting price What that subscription includes
Flowmingo Starter — $49 Capacity for the latest 3,000 interview recordings, a 45-day recording window, downloads, and branded report links. Sponsored sessions are optional and charged separately. Pricing
Hyring Pro — $95 50 shared credits per month and 45-day video retention. A video interview uses one credit; other assessments draw from the same pool. Extra credits cost more. Pricing
Spark Hire Video — from $299 Unlimited interviews, 5 active jobs and 5 users on monthly billing. Starting prices vary by company size. Recordings remain available under its active-subscription storage policy. Pricing
Ribbon Growth — $599 100 interviews per month, 2 seats and 2 active roles. Additional interviews cost $4 each. Pricing

Flowmingo also has a Free plan, and so does Hyring. Free starting prices therefore do not establish a unique winner. The comparison is only about the starting monthly paid subscription among these 4 providers. The practical value of that price depends on the volume and record access you need.

What you get free—and what changes after 300

Flowmingo Free gives a hiring team access to its latest 300 interview recordings for 30 days, with results, scores, and transcripts retained. Reports can be viewed in the app and shared through a standard Flowmingo link. Downloads require a paid plan.

The recording allowance is a rolling count, rather than 300 credits that reset each month. Both the count and age window apply. For pricing purposes, a team that needs 500 recordings accessible together should budget for Starter at $49, rather than assume that the complete recording workflow is free.

Free sessions carry Flowmingo branding and may show candidates optional offers. Candidates do not need to buy those extras to take the employer's interview. Employers can pay to remove the offers through sponsored sessions. See the plan terms.

Starter, Growth or Scale: what does the upgrade buy?

Plan Price and the reason to choose it
Free · $0 Keep up to 300 recent recordings within a 30-day window. Suitable when standard report links and in-app viewing cover the team's needs.
Starter · $49/month Keep the latest 3,000 recordings for 45 days. Adds report and video downloads, branded report links, and report content controls. Sponsored interviews cost $0.44 each.
Growth · $99/month Keep the latest 30,000 recordings without an age expiry, within that count limit. Adds sharing on your own domain and a lower sponsored-interview rate of $0.39 each.
Scale · $399/month Keep the latest 100,000 recordings without an age expiry. Every sponsored AI interview, test, showcase and technical test is included in the plan fee; live conversation is billed $0.02 a minute from your wallet.

Starter is the practical next step when 300 recordings are insufficient, or when the team needs downloads or branded links. Moving to Growth makes sense when the larger recording library, longer access, custom domain, or sponsorship savings justify the additional $50 per month.

A longer retention window is different from an unlimited archive. Growth still has a 30,000-recording count limit. Plan selection should account for how many recordings need to remain accessible together, not just how many interviews happen this week. Compare Flowmingo plans.

What will the complete Flowmingo bill be?

There are 2 relevant line items: the subscription and any sponsored sessions you choose. Paying for Starter or Growth does not automatically sponsor every interview.

For a single batch of recordings kept for at least 30 days, the following examples use Free at 300 and Starter at 500 or 1,000. They assume no pre-existing recordings that need to remain in the allowance.

Recordings needed Subscription With every session sponsored
300 · Free $0 $147 = 300 × $0.49
500 · Starter $49 $269 = $49 + 500 × $0.44
1,000 · Starter $49 $489 = $49 + 1,000 × $0.44

Flowmingo monthly software bills for 300, 500 and 1,000 recordings. Subscription costs are zero, 49 and 49 dollars; adding sponsorship for every session makes totals 147, 269 and 489 dollars.

Illustrative calculations from published monthly rates, checked September 17, 2026. Prices exclude tax and unrelated optional purchases. Recording count and age limits apply.

At 1,000 sponsored sessions, Starter and Growth both total $489 per month: $49 + $440 versus $99 + $390. At that point, Growth's larger recording library and longer access come at the same subscription-plus-sponsorship total. Below that point, Starter can cost less; above it, Growth's lower sponsorship rate can offset the higher base fee. Scale includes every sponsored session in its $399 fee, so at 1,000 sponsored sessions it costs $399, $90 less than Starter or Growth, and it costs less than Growth from about 770 sponsored sessions a month.

This is why the per-session rate should always be considered with the subscription. Multiplying 500 by $0.44 and reporting $220 would leave out Starter's $49 fee.

How the competing bills grow

The providers charge for growth in different ways, which is why an entry-price ranking is not a substitute for checking a complete bill.

Hyring combines a plan fee with a shared credit pool. Pro's $95 monthly fee includes 50 credits. Using only video interviews, workloads of 300, 500, and 1,000 require another 250, 450, and 950 credits respectively. Its published credit rates depend on purchase volume. We have not verified the exact checkout basket or final totals, so those additional credits are not presented as a precise invoice. Its Free plan's 15-day video retention also falls short of a 30-day recording-access requirement. Hyring pricing.

Spark Hire's monthly Video plan has no advertised interview-volume overage (Flowmingo vs Spark Hire). Its published starting fee remains from $299 at 300, 500, or 1,000 interviews for a qualifying company. Company size and any required add-ons still affect the quote. Monthly and annual plans also differ: downloadable interview exports are an annual-plan feature. Spark Hire pricing.

Ribbon uses included interviews and overage rates. Applying its published monthly fees and choosing the least expensive standard tier at each volume gives $1,199 for 300 interviews, $1,499 for 500, and $2,399 for 1,000. For example, 500 uses Business at $1,199 plus 100 additional interviews at $3 each. These are modeled subscription-and-interview charges; a plan-specific minimum recording-access period was not verified. Confirm that requirement before treating a quote as equivalent. Ribbon pricing.

We also checked HireVue, VidCruiter, and myInterview/Radancy. Comparable current numerical prices were not publicly available, so they are excluded from the price ranking. Their cost requires a scoped quote.

How we compared prices

This is Flowmingo's own public-pricing audit, dated September 17, 2026. The headline compares the lowest advertised paid monthly subscription across Flowmingo, Hyring, Spark Hire, and Ribbon. Annual billing discounts, short trials, taxes, negotiated enterprise quotes, and optional purchases are excluded from that base-fee ranking. Updated October 20, 2026 to add Flowmingo's Scale plan ($399 a month); the other providers' prices are as checked on September 17.

The worked examples then make recording access and additional charges explicit. Where a provider's final basket or retention entitlement could not be verified, we say so. The plans provide different features and interview formats; this article compares their commercial terms, not hiring outcomes.

Choose the lowest plan that covers your hiring record

Start with Free if 300 recent recordings and standard report sharing cover your workflow. Choose Starter when you need more recording capacity, downloads, or branded links. Consider Growth for a larger library, longer access, your own domain, or enough sponsored sessions to benefit from its lower rate. Choose Scale when you sponsor more than about 770 sessions a month or need to keep up to 100,000 recordings.

In short: AI interviews are never metered on Flowmingo, the lowest paid plan in this comparison is $49 a month, and each upgrade is priced up front.
